QUESTION : Why Do Guys Cheat..........?
and i know not all men do, but the majority of the guys i know do!.... and they have great girlfriends, so i was wanting to know why they do...
ANSWER:
For the same reason people get bored. They seek new experiences and are unable to appreciate the one they have. A thing done for a long time losses its novelty. So, really, the fault is the guys' perception. They are not able to truly enjoy all the benefits of the same experience because they start looking at it differently. They don't understand that the fault is theirs, they think it is the partner's for not doing something, or doing something too much.
Besides, being with a partner is a great investment of energy. Any sort of communication with them is too much of an effort. When the desire is satisfied, that effort becomes too much of work, it is always easier to start something new instead.
My conclusion then is such. Guys and girls, you are being cheated on, because your partner is not necessarily your good friend (and if they are, they might have a different understanding of friendship than you or at least I do). Very good friends always last longer. There is less temptation to look for someone else when you are truly satisfied on many levels because you are with a friend. I would want to acquire new friends all the time, but not to replace my current ones, if that makes sense.
At the end, when a relation is purely physical, it is superficial. So superficial reasons like boredom, lust, ego (Kayla is so right) are capable of distracting one partner from another. You want a different relationship? Find a partner for a deeper reason than simply physical satisfaction. Choose one who is also a friend. Then your reasons for staying together are far deeper and sex is still just as good.
